THE VSI TEAM FOCUS IS TO PIONEER TOMORROW’S LEADERS IN SPORT AND BUSINESS THROUGH EDUCATION AND PERFORMANCE
We understand the value of brokering our network to create new channels to market and in a timescale that can capitalise on opportunities arising. We identify and create partnerships that engage and motivate key influencers so that we can work fast and successfully to achieve our goals. The core VSI team are Andrew McIntyre and Tony Faulkner.
Andrew has developed business interests across a range of markets and topics, having started his career as a journalist
He built a strong reputation as a reporter working for leading news agencies across the UK, working for BBC Television, News International and the Mirror Group, before moving into an executive position with Gold Group International. He worked closely on a variety of projects with Ralph and David Gold, co-owner of West Ham, before leading a management buyout in 2004. After selling the business eight years later, Andrew acted as business angel, helping a number of start-ups, including Visionary Sport Investment (VSI) which he set up in partnership with Tony Faulkner, and co-founded the MSc in Sports Directorship course.
Andy, a lifelong Manchester City fan, was an apprentice footballer with Bolton Wanderers, before going on to gain a BA Hons degree in Economics and Politics from the University of Nottingham.
Being someone who is solution focused, my aim was to design courses that focused on a practical, not theoretical approach to learning. By do so, the aim is to maximise human endeavour. The success of VSI has been recognised and supported by sports clubs and governing bodies around the globe as they look to succession plan and develop their staff through the VSI courses. Those who know me well know how much value I place on integrity. I live and breathe it. My network can count on me to deliver on my commitments. And my commitment to you is simple. Most people know me for my 20+ years of experience in driving elite performance within the sporting arena. But my expertise and vision extend way further:
My mission is to enable the shining stars of tomorrow progress into strategic leadership positions within the world of sport.
As a lifelong learner, my personal development has never stopped with qualifications in psychology, Neuroscience and sports Law. As well as expanding my capabilities, it has given me the flexibility to apply myself in wide-ranging environments including Football, Academia, Business and Entrepreneurship.
I’ve combined my passion for learning and expertise in sport to co-found VSI Executive Education which has pioneered the MSD & MSc in Sports Directorship and the worlds first MBA for CEO’s of a Sports Organisation course
